Chapter 14: Discourse on “Uncommon Acala’s Teaching” (I)
http://tbsn.org/english2/article.php?id=95
Extracts:
Acala’s teachings are extraordinary. His method of practice is unique. It is something special for Esoteric Buddhism to have wrathful deities as there are hardly any wrathful deities in Exoteric Buddhism. Wrathful deities are in fact incarnations of the Buddha.

Acala is a combatant edict orderly of Maha Vairocana. He is his wrathful incarnation. I have said before that Buddhas and Bodhisattvas are all Bodhi-minded, very kind and compassionate to sentient beings. If they are protected by some wrathful deities, things should be perfect to my mind.

Dharma protectors are to protect pure cultivators and Bodhisattvas. Dharma protectors are usually oath bound, unlike my protector, who had not vowed but acted on a moment’s excitement. A human being may change his mind, but Dharma protectors’ vow does not change. That is where the difference lies.

Today we learn the wrathful looking deity Acala. Once you get responses from Acala, he will go with you and protect you as he has made a pledge. He will never change his pledge unless you change your mind. This is an important point. As I have said before, once you have 5 Vidvarajas(Ming Wang)/ Khro-bos protecting you, you are closely connected with the Five Vidyarajas(Ming Wang) / khro-bos .

There are three roots in Tantrism: the root guru, the root personal deity (yidam) and the root Dharma protector (Dharmapala). Your root guru is the root for reinforcement; your root personal deity (yidam) is the root for the final achievement of your cultivation; and your root Dharma protector (Darmapala) is to help you throughout your sacred cause of spiritual cultivation and spreading the Dharma. These three form an iron triangular alliance with you, an triangular alliance by a pledge just as by a written contract (Samaya).

This wrathful deity of mine had no pledge; so he may leave me any time. He was not Dharma protector proper-he was a momentary friend. As everybody knows, a human being may change his mind, which is never permanent.

Acala’s vow is,
(1)“He who sees me will generate the Bodhi mind;”
(2)“He who hears my name will stop doing evil and begin doing good;”
(3)“He who listens to my teachings will obtain great wisdom;”
(4)“He who knows my mind will attain Buddhahood with the present body.”

So if your mind gets responses from Acala’s mind, you will become a Buddha in your present life. This is his vow. You can see how great his vow is!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
On my way to the airport last week, I noticed that the cab driver has an array of statues on his dash board as well as bracelets on both wrists. :)
I told him that statues of deities should face outwards not facing him.
The reason being, that these deities will "Open" the road ahead for him!
He started talking about this fortune teller from Taiwan and how he expects to be served. Like paying for expensive meals, items he picks when out shopping with him,......
This cabby left after 3 such expensive ventures!
Hahaha!
Yes, another cheat that sells fake goods and services!
The cabby had 2 bracelets round his right wrist and one on his left.
He said the shi-fu sold him the 2 on his right wrist and he bought the one on his left because he likes it.
The statues of deities displayed?
He bought one of Earth deity from local temple and the rest from different sources on his travels.
He has 3 brown turtles make of ceramic with heads and tails that can bob.
Now the interesting part!
He said the shi-fu taught him to chant mantra daily, and he chanted these:
『南摩三滿多。母陀南。哇日拉。撼。』
Nan mo san man duo mu tuo nan wa ri la han.
I asked him what does this mantra means and whose mantra is this?
He said he don't know.
I told him that this mantra he chanted is wrong, he left out one syllable, [藍 Lan]!
And this mantra is that of Acala.
I explained to him that Buddha teaches main keys like -
[1] leave suffering to attain happiness
[2] one controls own life and death
If doing what he is doing is difficult, uncomfortable, and results in unhappiness or suffering, then he is on the wrong path.
The simplest is for him to chant: Nan mo Amituofo.
He can do so simply anytime he wishes and the more he chant, the brighter he becomes, thus sharing the goodness of Amitabha Buddha with all around!
His affinity with all beings, be they visible or invisible to the Human eye will improve gradually and his path smoothen as well.
The display of deities and turtles, I advised him to remove them.
Best not to put them else they "attract" spirits to "Occupy" them!
And his mind is very fickled, from the items he displayed and wear!
He has 3 deities statues, 3 ceramic turtles, 3 bracelets!
Yes! I taught him to focus and remove the unnecessary.
After alighting from the cab, the cabby retrieved my luggage from the boot and respectfully bowed to me.
I asked him to choose one of the 3 bracelets and I will bless it for him.
He chose the one on his left wrist!
I "cleanse" the bracelet and also touched his "tian-xin" to bless him as well.
I wished him well! :)
Hahaha! Most believe in "Imported" shi-fu or masters!
And those that Help promote the "Mysterious Powers" that these masters have!
The result?
They all fell preys to Cheats!
GM Lu advises all to stay away from those masters that are after $$$, and they are constantly expanding their "territories", and in TBS, those that have lost lineage transmission!
I have pointed out to lots of fellow students and the general public that those after $$$, and feed you the crap that only they can and you can't, are Cheats!
On the bus to HK event venue, a group of Indonesian students asked me about the authenticity of VMs!
I told them that those that always talk $$$, are fakes!
One such is in their town.
A student that went into a trance at the entrance of this fake master's temple, was rescued by a fellow student while the master looked on and remain still.
He then reprimanded the fellow student for Infringing into his territory and performing "Fa -Dharma"!
The point is?
Doesn't saving the one in a trance be given priority?
GM Lu taught how to help those being possessed or disturbed by spirits in Xiang-hua LZS with Ragarajah's Hom syllable, remember?
WHY?
Most masters don't know how to deal with those in a trance and often run away or stay at a distance they consider "safe" to watch only!
Visualising a [Hom] syllable and "inserting" it into the spine (waist) and then pushing it upwards to expel, bringing along with it the "dark energy"!
GM Lu taught me this while I was helping fellow students do offering during our homa session and about 2 years before he shared this method in Taiwan.
I also learnt to draw lights of white, yellow, red, blue, green to share.
The [Hom] at the end of Guru's mantra is one that I use most of the time.
Just Guru's mantra is enough for me to perform lots of variations to execute as per situational requirement!
Dear all, diligence in cultivating Tantric Dharma as taught by GM Lu is the most Important Key to enter the Bodhi path, stay on the Bodhi path and continue to Nirvana!
As GM Lu said, whether you cultivate or not, yoga or not, only you yourself know best!
But your aura if you cultivate well, can be seen!
And you can also experience personally the wonders of successful cultivation yourself!
You feel GOOD!
Means healthy, happy, full of vitality!
Everything just drop into a smooth path!
In recent session, GM Lu also said that there really isn't need to have too many yidams!
Yes! Focus on One!
You will soon realised that this [ONE] will also have to be [Let go of], or [Void]!
So, do you think you need to have 3 numbers of everything?
Or even one?
Hahaha!
